Creation of the campaign
Campaign Creation
To initiate the campaign creation process, it’s crucial to verify that all required materials have been uploaded beforehand. For this reason, we recommend that you visit sections such as Assets first.
In order to start running a campaign, what we will have to create is the base of it.
A campaign is linked to an account and facilitates the management of multiple strategies/lines. It offers control over flight dates and budget allocation.
Now we will have to fill in the required data, below we explain each section:
- Name
The name of the campaign. - Account
If you only have one account it will be assigned automatically, but if you have several, you will have to select the account where you want the campaign to be created. - Start and End date:
The dates when the campaign will start or end. Note that if the campaign start date is after the current date, the campaign will be set to ‘Scheduled’. - Daily budget:
The daily budget per campaign will affect all lines. That is, if you have 5 lines created, and the daily budget for each one is $5, the total spend would be $25 in total of all 5 lines. But if in the general campaign we put a daily spend of $10, then the general campaign will have priority over the lines and only $10 will be spent daily. - Hourly budget:
You can set and control the spending per hour.
[Note: Be careful, this can be quite limiting.]
- Advertiser information:
The information that is filled here is informative for the ‘Exchanges’.
If it is filled in, and you are creating a new line, the information filled in here will automatically be copied to the new line you create. It is not necessary to fill it in the general campaign, but you will be asked to fill this information within the line. - Frequency Capping:
Frequency capping limits how often a specific ad is shown to an individual user within a certain timeframe. So here, you can add the frequency capping you require.
[Please, note that it is not required to add it at the campaign level. But if you have a frequency limit added to the lines, but also to the base campaign, the one that will take effect is the one from the base campaign.]
- Descriptive goal
This information, as the name suggests, is descriptive only, and will not affect campaign performance.
And finally, once you fill in all the necessary information, click on:– Once you’ve created the base campaign, you need to create the lines.
– Lines created inside the campaign allows you to divide your campaign into several strategies and control budgets separately, so you can optimize it towards your goals.
