Activity audiences

This segment is designed for generating activity-based audiences used for retargeting purposes. Please be aware that the retargeting function is limited to a maximum look-back period of 60 days.

This section is divided into two tabs to distinguish between in-app and cookie-based audiences, allowing for separate management and differentiation between the two types of audiences utilized for retargeting.

  • In App

In in-app device audiences, you can build dynamic audiences to retarget/exclude users that have made impressions, clicks, post-click events or video events in your campaigns. You can combine more than one rule with ANDs, ORs and EXCEPTs.

Remember that in order to receive and map an event properly you should map the post back / pixel name to the Astrad event name inside the section Assets > Events mapping.

  • Mweb (Cookies)

In the cookie segments, you can build two kinds of segments: 

– Advertiser activity.
Overall engagement and interactions of a target audience across all campaigns of a specific advertiser.

– Campaign activity.
Interactions and responses of a target audience within a single advertising campaign.

Advertiser Activity

Used to build audiences from the users that have been in the client’s website. In order to use this kind of segments, we need to have our Astrad pixel placed in the client’s page.

In the Advertiser activity audiences, you can choose which tracking pixel to retarget and for which events. 

Note that the events have to be entered typing. You can target more than one, by separating pixel event names by commas. For instance if you want to retarget landing page and funnel step 1, you will need to type “landing, funnel_1” in the Event field). 

Note that the pixel event names to type are the ones that appear in the pixel. By leaving this field empty, all actions related to this pixel will be targeted. You can also choose how many days to look back to retrieve the data for the segment.

Campaign Activity

Used to build audiences from the users that Astrad has impacted. For now, only users that have done an impression can be targeted. The rest of actions (click, post-click events mapped to Astrad platform name or video events) will be added in future developments.

You can choose which campaign, line, creative you want to get data from and you can also choose how many days to look back to retrieve the data for the segment.
